Guy was born in the aftermath of the summer of love, near Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, California, to a caring pair of hipsters.
He grew up in San Francisco, Sao Paulo-Brazil, Hong Kong, Seattle and Jakarta, Indonesia. Guy fell in love with rock at the age of 10 and bought a flee-market guitar that he played through the family stereo. But it was bass that truly brought out his freak zone. He also loves to play 5-string banjo.
After graduating from high school in Jakarta, Guy moved to Seattle to attend University for as long as it took to start a band named “Sage” in 1989. He has always been a band oriented musician and is a founding member of Sage, Banjovi, Butt Hutt, Guardian Alien, Jive Turkey, Witch Water, The Product, Weber, and Iyana.
Guy met Gino in 1997 when he invited Kultur Shock, then just starting, to open up for his band Guardian Alien. After that, it wasn’t long before Guardian Alien was opening up for Kultur Shock; fucking immigrants! Guy made no secret about being a huge fan of Kultur Shock, but now that he is a member too, it makes him tingle all over.
Based on his life experiences, Guy believes that the world should have no borders, that the global economy should be built upon feeding, housing, caring for and entertaining all people and that we are not alone in the Universe.
